Go Go – Green Juice and Super Smoothie Bowl!

Green Vegan Super Smoothie Bowl! A super healthy start to the day. Enjoy this dynamic cleanse that will awaken the mind, body and soul!

If you have access to ice or a freezer, then feel free to make the smoothie or smoothie bowl recipe, if not, than it will be a delicious green juice!

When living in a van and on the sailboat I came to realize that the magic bullet, or blender was of vital importance. Not only does it not use a lot of power, but I can turn oats into flour, grind fresh coffee beans, and make smoothies! This green drink is one of my favourites. It is one of the best and most delicious ways to get all of the nutrients and minerals flowing through your blood stream to maintain beautiful skin, a healthy lifestyle and feel energy and vitality flowing through your veins.

A perfect balance of sweet and savory: apple, pear, spinach, kale, celery, and cucumber make up the ingredients in this recipe for sweet and green juice.

Smoothie Bowl/Green Juice Recipe!

Choose Base Green Veggie: 

  • Kale, spinach, baby spinach, Swiss chard, collard greens

A fruit

  • Pineapple (for tang and sweetness)
  • Apple (vitamin C)
  • Cucumber (potassium)
  • Banana (for potassium, and helpful digestion)
  • Avocado (for those essential fatty acid and vitamin B-16)
  • Mango or  peach (for vitamin C or vitamin A)

Super Food: 

  • Matcha Powder (powerful antioxidant boost)
  • Maca Powder (boost in fibre, calcium, iron and amino acids)

Liquid Base:

  • Orange Juice, Green Tea, Water, Almond, Coconut or rice milk (if you are lactose intolerant or vegan)
  • Or you can add fruit juice
  • Dairy might be strange mixed with all of the fruits and veggies?

Add Ice if you have it! (for smoothies only)

For the smoothie bowl you can pour the drink into a bowl, and garnish it with whatever toppings you like. I absolutely love blueberries, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, chia seeds and shredded coconut.
